Developing a Wildlife Habitat Plan

Successfully managing for wildlife begins with a plan.  By now, you should know if your enterprise will focus on wildlife in general or a specific species.  What you want determines what you must do to get it.  Apply what you have learned from wildlife concepts, species specifics, plant identification, and habitat practices to develop your plan.  Begin by drawing or acquiring a drawing, map, or aerial photograph of the land you intend to manage for wildlife.  Conduct a natural resources inventory.  Learn the technical and financial resources available for conducting habitat practices.  And lastly, put this information together in your habitat plan.
