Grazing Management - Do It Yourself

At the end of this online tutorial you will have the opportunity to develop a management plan for your riparian areas. Each lesson includes a series of questions that provide building blocks to help develop this plan.

Management Inventory Questions

Although you may not have completed a full inventory of your riparian areas yet, it is still possible to consider which seasons of use appear most likely to apply to the stream types you identified in Lesson 1 and the riparian conditions you identified in Lesson 2. One way to do this is to see which of your riparian areas appear to correlate most closely with the “Best Situation” characteristics listed for each season in the Seasons of Use section of this lesson. You may have to modify these observations after you have clearly identified your objectives and completed your resources and riparian areas inventory. You will complete these steps in the next lesson.
