Want to print a map or aerial photo of your property? The TerraServer-USA Web site is one of the world's largest online databases, providing free public access to a vast data store of maps and aerial photographs of the United States.

Maps
An important tool for identifying and recording resource information is a ranch map. Such maps provide a visual means of identifying different grazing land and other resources and their relationship to each other. They will be even more important when you plan your grazing system, including both riparian and upland components. The standard US Geological Survey (USGS) "quad map" (1:24,000) may provide a good overview of your property (Maps available by calling 1-800-USA-MAPS). Higher resolution maps may be necessary for delineating individual parts of your ranch and its resources. Aerial photos are often available as well. See your NRCS or Extension office for details.
