The following
materials are designed for Extension Agents and other professionals
responsible for delivering educational resources to landowners.
PowerPoint
Presentations: These powerpoint presentations can be downloaded
to your computer and modified to suit your audience's needs.
Some
browsers may not open the imbedded photos correctly. It is recommended
that you "right click" on the PowerPoint presentation
and save it to your computer. Then open the saved PowerPoint from
your computer file.

1 = Streams and Watersheds; This lesson introduces
the concept of watersheds and discusses relationships between
streams and their surrounding landscapes. It identifies different
methods of classifying streams and reviews principles of stream
mechanics that are important for understanding streams and riparian
areas.

This lesson discusses the functions and characteristics of riparian
areas. It reviews the functions of riparian areas and identifies
elements landowners can evaluate to determine how well their riparian
areas are functioning.

This lesson addresses principles and techniques for grazing riparian
areas. There are numerous techniques to help achieve specific
goals. There are also a few general principles which every operator
or land manager should consider before implementing any specific
technique. This lesson addresses both principles and techniques.

lesson covers what factors must be considered when planning and
implementing a grazing strategy for riparian areas and the steps
necessary to measure the effectiveness of the plan.
