Characteristics of Shrubs

Shrubs are perennial plants. Here are some general characteristics:

• Stems are woody stems and branching from their base.
• Flowers are usually colorful
• Leaves have net venation and are shorter and wider than grass leaves
• Roots usually consist of a large tap root with considerable branching
