How often should you monitor?

How often you monitor depends on your monitoring goals and the
availability of resources for monitoring. However, you should begin
by monitoring every year for three to five years. After that, you
may monitor every other year, or monitor one-half of the key monitoring
areas one year and one-half the next.
Repeat photography and monitoring precipitation, frequency, cover,
density, composition and production throughout the year will allow
for in-depth analysis of your ranch from several different perspectives
including key areas, critical areas, and comparison areas.
