SummaryThroughout this module we have discussed a variety of activities related to the management of southern pine forests, both natural and plantation. You should now be familiar with the native pine species found throughout the southeast, their management, their associated pests and diseases, and the economic advantages and disadvantages of raising these species for profit. The information in this module is just the beginning, and we encourage you to contact your local forestry professional or extension agent to achieve your management objectives. This last activity puts together all the sections of this module and helps you to assess what you have learned in a fun and challenging way. Give it a try!
