Contract negotiation

  After all bids have been received and a   suitable bid is accepted, the owner should   notify the successful bidder and arrange   to negotiate and execute a written   contract, all with the assistance of a   professional forester. Conversely, if none   of the bids are suitable, the owner has the   right to reject any and all bids.

  Any deposit or performance bond agreed   upon should be collected. Copies of the
                                                                               contract should be prepared for both the                                                                                buyer and the seller.
