During a saleShow me tourPotential buyers should be given the opportunity to examine the timber offered for sale before submitting their bids. These buyers are typically allowed to examine and inventory the timber for up to four weeks prior to the bid opening at their convenience. It is also recommended for your forester to hold a "Show Me Tour" of the sale area to relate your objectives for the sale and to answer buyers' questions. Be sure to point out all boundaries of the sale area during the tour. All property lines should be clearly marked. Your forester should also point out locations for log landings, roads, and skid trails.
