buttressed trunks | aerenchyma tissue | shallow roots | fluted trunks | adventitious roots
inflated stems | floating leaves | knees | polymorphic leaves | stooling | hypertrophied lenticels

Floating leaves
Pores on the tops of leaves allow for the absorption of oxygen. A waxy substance on the bottom of leaves restricts water penetration. Found on water lilies and pond lilies.
