| Unit 2: Conversion Processes |
| Introduction |
| Biomass can be converted into useful forms of energy (e.g. solid, liquid, or gaseous fuels) as well as useful products (e.g. polymers, plastics, char, pellets, acids, etc.) using a number of different technological processes. The following lessons briefly cover the two main conversion and production processes for obtaining bio-based energy and products: bio-chemical and thermochemical.
