Success Stories - Livestock/Wildlife Interactions

Thanks to the conservation efforts of many farmers and ranchers, private lands provide much of the world's habitat for wildlife species. As a result, there are many examples where livestock and wildlife coexist in a sustainable, viable fashion.

Partnerships addressing agricultural conservation exist in many forms. With the support and education from private foundations; local, State, and Federal programs; and non-profit organizations - landowners are finding help in initiating conservation practices that benefit both wildlife habitat and livestock enterprises.

Below is a small list of the many Livestock/Wildlife Interaction success stories that exist throughout the world. Obviously, it is beyond the scope of this tutorial to list them all, but a partial list demonstrates the various issues, obstacles, and interventions that ranchers are employing related to livestock/wildlife interactions.
