Bristlegrass

Other names:  bottle grass, green bristle grass, green foxtail, pigeongrass, wild millet. German millet and similar cultivated varieties are from foxtail bristlegrass.

Description:  A grass having a flexible, bristle-like seed head with many short fine hairs. 

Wildlife value:  Yellow and green bristlegrass (foxtail) are abundant and important food sources for doves and other songbirds.
